Following on from the RFUW National Regional Finals held at Lichfield in March, three Yorkshire girls have been selected to join the CB Schools of Rugby programme for 2009/2010 season. It will provide them with a fantastic opportunity to develop core skills and to train alongside the best players (boys and girls) within their region and the country.
Henrietta Birkinshaw from Rotherham plays at centre, and would like to follow her brother to an England team shirt. Tatyana Heard of Ryedale School and Lady Lumleys pupil Rachel Lund both play their club rugby at Malton & Norton, they will all be expected to attend day time Schools of Rugby sessions over the course of the season as well as monthly training nights at West Park RUFC in Leeds. Further more they have been invited to attend RFUW player development sessions throughout the season which will provide further opportunities for these already talented young ladies
